DISCLAIMER: Body piercing is not regulated under NC Public Health laws/rules or by local ordinance; thusly, all piercing services are performed upon artist discretion. Artists are at liberty to refuse service at any time for any reason.
We highly suggest that you eat a filling, balanced meal and are well hydrated prior to your appointment - still bring a snack and water with you just to be safe. Fair warning, feeling unwell after getting pierced is generally the result of 2 things: a drop in blood sugar levels or vasovagal syncope (fainting caused by a reflex or involuntary reaction to pain and/or stress)
Lastly, even though a drink or two sounds like a good idea to help you shake pre-piercing nerves, it's best not to have any alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment. Not only does consuming alcohol cause you to bleed more, but it makes our job more difficult as a result.
