DISCLAIMER: Body piercing is not regulated under NC Public Health laws/rules or by local ordinance; thusly, all piercing services are performed upon artist discretion. Artists are at liberty to refuse service at any time for any reason.

We highly suggest that you eat a filling, balanced meal and are well hydrated prior to your appointment - still bring a snack and water with you just to be safe. Fair warning, feeling unwell after getting pierced is generally the result of 2 things: a drop in blood sugar levels or vasovagal syncope (fainting caused by a reflex or involuntary reaction to pain and/or stress)

Lastly, even though a drink or two sounds like a good idea to help you shake pre-piercing nerves, it's best not to have any alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment. Not only does consuming alcohol cause you to bleed more, but it makes our job more difficult as a result.

All persons to receive piercing services must not only complete a consent form but also provide proof of age and identification. This includes minors who are required to be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian.

Adults: In order to be pierced or have jewelry inserted into a piercing you must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid photo ID. Acceptable identification includes the following:

  • Driver’s license
  • Passport
  • State-issued identification card

Minors: Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal parent/guardian and must provide identification and proof of age and relationship to the guardian in order to receive piercing services. Acceptable identification and proof of age and relationship include the following:

  • Any of the forms of acceptable identification listed above from both parent/ guardian and minor on which last names and addresses match.
  • If the parent/  has a different last name and address than the minor, then legal documentation (birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce papers, adoption papers, etc.) must be provided to verify the relationship.
  • If the legal guardian is not the parent, then legal documentation (adoption papers, power of attorney giving full guardianship without limitations, etc.) must be provided to verify the guardian’s legal right to sign for the minor.
  • A school-issued photo ID or yearbook picture accompanied by a birth certificate is acceptable identification for minors younger than driving age.

Under no circumstances will our staff deviate from the above identification requirements for adults or minors alike. If the appropriate documentation is not present at the time of service, our staff may ask you to reschedule for another time or day in which such documents may be procured by the legal parent/guardian and presented to receive piercing services.

Re-piercing is only free when it is apparent that the artist missed something or needs to fix or correct something. It is the artist's decision whether to do a re-pierce for free or not. If you disagree with the artist, kindly ask them to explain.

Prior to being re-pierced, the piercing channel must be healed. Don't worry - we'll help you schedule your re-pierce appointment to make sure you have plenty of time to heal.

Re-piercing, when done for free, are only on the artist's regularly scheduled days.
